Python Discord Research Information

1. Who is performing this research?

Python Discord is conducting a survey: “Python Discord End of Year Survey”

2. What is the purpose of this research?

We are conducting this survey to understand more about our users, how they use our community and whether there are any improvements that can be made to Python Discord.

3. What data are we collecting?

We are collecting answers to all questions on the survey as well as the date and time of form submission. We are not collecting any contact or identifying information through the form.

Our form provider, Jotform, may collect additional data. Refer to the Jotform Privacy Policy for further information.

4. What will happen during the research?

You will be asked to fill out a questionnaire consiting of a mix of multiple choice and freeform answers. We will not be following up directly with any submitted form responses as we are not collecting contact information.

5. Research results

5.1. Who will results be shared with?

Results will stay internal to the Python Discord team. We may release aggregated form information but will not release single form responses. Most of this data will be used for internal purposes only.

5.2. How will this research be used?

We will use the information collected through this research to inform decisions about the future of Python Discord.

5.3. Retention of research data

We will be retaining all results of the research indefinitely, since there is no personal information that is being collected.

6. Halting research and withdrawal

You are in no way obligated to complete this research, it is entirely voluntary and there are no binding agreements. You may stop filling out the questionnaire at any point.
